Traditional food served with township style. “Antie Evelin” lives in Pienaarsig (the Bethesda township area) where she operates a unique restaurant. Her food is traditional, authentic, tasty and memorable. In summer, meals are served in her delightful garden overlooking the community sports field; in winter you sit in a gaily painted tin shack, warmed by a heater and the adjacent outdoor wood stove. The menu varies according to season and her whim, and could include bobotie or a bredie, along with samp-and-beans, several vegetable dishes, a soup, a selection of fresh bread and roosterkoek with homemade conserve, a seasonal salad, and a lekker poeding. Generous servings of tasty home-style food featuring roosterbrood, vegetables, salad and chicken, lamb or pork. Vegetarians are always welcome at Sneeuwitjie (even without notice) and the puddings are gaining an international reputation. Sneeuberg Microbrewery, Cheese Farm and Coffee Roastery

Surrounded by the Sneeuberg Mountains, star filled night skies and fed with natural spring water the Sneeuberg Trading Company in Nieu Bethesda is ideally suited to provide natural products of superior quality.
The Beer
All beer made at the Sneeuberg Brewery use only malt, hops and natural spring water to produce a beer that is free of preservatives or additives. Three different Ales are produced, namely the crisper more bitter Karoo Ale, the slightly sweeter Honey Ale and the smoky dark Roasted Ale.
The Cheese
Our cheeses are hand made from raw wholesome cow and goats milk using traditional methods of cheese making. Our animals are fed on pasture and karoo veld ensuring a natural product filled with goodness. Dexter cattle and Saanen goats are milked to produce our range of cheeses. We produce both hard and soft cheeses that are sold either plain or with a range of herbs and spices.
The Coffee
All the coffees roasted by the Sneeuberg Trading Company are unblended country of origin Arabica coffee beans. We support African coffee growers and as far as possible purchase fair trade and organic coffees. Our coffees are medium roasted retaining the flavours inherent to the coffees country of origin. At present three different top quality coffees are being roasted They are an Ethiopian Yirgacheffe, Zimbabwean Chipinge and Tanzanian Organic coffee.
